Apologies for cross posting.

Hello Public Libraries and Special Libraries Interest Groups!

Forwarding an inquiry below from Jeanie Austin with the San Francisco
Public Library.  If you have information to share, please contact Jeanie
directly at jeanie.austin@sfpl.org.

Thanks and Best,
Shana

Hello -

San Francisco Public Library is currently laying the groundwork for
upcoming library services in the local jails.  As part of our planning,
librarians involved with this project would very much like to be in
conversation with other public libraries/librarians who are currently
providing these types of services.  At this point, we are particularly
interested in whether or not there is an existing listserv (or other means
of communication) shared by librarians in California who are serving
patrons in local jails and/or juvenile detention facilities.  If not, we
would like to be able to speak with various librarians across California
about their programs, best practices, and learning experiences as they have
provided library services to patrons in jails and juvenile detention
centers.

If you would like to contact me directly to share information about a
program at your library, please send an e-mail to jeanie.austin@sfpl.org.

Thank you for your insights!
