Here are the details:
On October 14th at 1pm Youth Services Librarians from Oceanside Public Library will detail their experiences hosting Virtual Game Nights for all ages this past year, including their tips and tricks that were learned along the way (sometimes the hard way!). OPL has hosted All Ages Game Nights, Tween/Teen Only Game Nights, and Adults Only Game Nights and each one is presented differently based on the audience and their interests and technology needs. Suggestions for the best games to play and websites to use will be discussed, as well as some of the issues that may arise during your events and how to handle them. Q&A and discussion will follow.

Participants will leave the presentation with a better understanding of the planning and implementation of a virtual gaming program armed with a list of best practices, best games and websites to use in their programs, and be prepared for any unexpected complications. This program will empower librarians to feel confident implementing these very popular types of programs at their own Libraries.
