Apologies for duplication

Dear California Library Community:

On behalf of the California State Library we wanted to share with you a
library summer meal program funding update:

From The California State Library,

  • We are very pleased to let you know that the Governor has authorized
$800,000 in state funds to support Lunch at the Library programs
for summer 2021 (this includes summer library meal sites and pop-up
libraries at other community meal sites).
  • We are delighted that this means additional funds are available to
libraries that participate in Lunch at the Library this summer.
  • The State Library is in the process of recruiting for a project
partner that will administer the funds to libraries as soon as possible.
  • The State Library anticipates having more detailed information
available soon. We understand that this will be very close to the start of
your program and appreciate your patience as the State Library administers
the funds as soon and efficiently as we can.
  • If you have questions, please contact Lunch at the Library project
manager, Trish Garone, at pgarone@cla-net.org pgarone@cla-net.org

If you have not already applied for summer meal funding, but are
interested in funds to support your library's effort to bring pop-up
library programming and resources out to community meal sites, or to serve
summer meals at your library, please complete this brief survey. The State
Library's program partner will be in touch with more detailed funding
information as soon as they have been selected:

If you have already applied for summer meal funds you do not need to
complete this form. The State Library's program partner will be in touch
with you about your funding award as soon as they have been selected. For
