I believe, based on our own recent meeting, that the best measure is the ROI (return on investment).
A Total ROI of 4:1 is good, and most common among libraries using UMS.

Hi,

I just received our annual report from UMS, which we use for collections.  As part of the report, it lists the amount paid, materials recovered and the amount waived.

Does anyone know if there is a guideline or benchmark for the amount waived?  Ours is 15%, which seems high to me based on our procedures.

Thanks
Jenn

Thank you! We also found out that waived amount includes the automatically canceled processing fees from returned items.
