Hi Jenn,
We have opted against the online registration since we have certain requirements for issuance of a card (showing valid ID, proof of current address in the state of CA, etc.). It feels unhelpful and inefficient to allow patrons to register at home, but then still face obstacles when coming to the library. They may print their application, in advance, but that's it. We might reconsider this in the future for our patrons only interested in our online services, like Overdrive, and issue them Tech-Only cards.
Our internet consent for adults is done upon logging in to our computers. For juveniles, we require that the parent sign consent and that is on the backside of our juvenile applications.
Sorry, I can't provide any solutions, but I wanted to at least reply and let you know what we do here.

Hi,
How many of you all have an online library card application that is available off site? Do you have them accept an agreement before they are able to apply? Do you bundle up your internet agreement with that or not? What about minors? Do you still have them sign something in person?
We have an online card application, but they still have to fill out most of a paper application in person, which seems a waste of time and resources. I'm working on a solution.
I look forward to your replies.
Thank you!
Jenn
