Greetings,
My name is Sarah and I am a LIS students at the University of Alabama. I am
currently in a literacy instruction course working on a one-shot lesson. I
would like to create a lesson geared toward those who are incarcerated, but
I have no practical experience in this setting and details about
programming are limited online. I would love to hear from librarians who
actually work with this population, both adult and youth.
Here are some questions I have:
-
What programs do you have experience with in teaching information
literacy to those who are incarcerated?
-
What resources are available to teach information literacy to those who
are incarcerated? Computers, Internet, books??
-
Any other input is most welcome.
Thank you so much for letting me intrude upon your quarantine time. I
appreciate any feedback or wisdom and I hope you are all well during this
concerning time.
Sincerely,
Sarah
