Ready Access: Reentry Services for Decarcerated Populations

Hello All,

The Social Justice team of this year’s Developing Leaders in California
Libraries
(part of the California Library Association)  CLA Leadership
Challenge https://claleadership.org/the-challenge/ has started an
initiative with an accompanying website called Ready Access: Reentry
Service for Decarcerated Populations
.

This website is two-fold:

  1. Librarian Toolkit (inward facing)

  2. Resources for People Impacted by Incarceration (outward facing)

The toolkit is designed for California Librarians and those impacted by
incarceration.

It includes:

  • Webpage template for your existing website
  • Workflow, scripts, letter templates and flyers for initiating
    partnerships and promotion
  • Programming ideas and workflow
  • Maps to locate your nearest carceral institutions
  • Brief video about working with decarcerated patrons
  • Additional resources for your patrons
  • Reading List
  • Glossary of terms and more…
